Executive Profile
Yogesh Malhotra (Ph.D., Information Systems, Controls, and Quantitative Methods (Statistics), University of Pittsburgh) is an Associate Professor of Accounting & Information Systems at the Martin J. Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University. He has lectured at Kellogg, Carnegie Mellon, INSEAD (France), and Queen's (Canada) as invited faculty and taught information systems, operations research, and mathematical modeling to computer scientists, engineers, and managers at Whitman. His research has focused on systems that can withstand radical unpredictable change and related risk management and compliance issues. The 2008 Impact of Research Report of the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) profiles his research on why knowledge management systems fail among others such as Black and Scholes as an "exemplar" of substantive impact on real world practices. His corporate and national advisory engagements have included Intel, Philips (Netherlands), British Telecom (UK), the UN and nations of Mexico, Netherlands, South Korea, and USA. Worldwide corporate clients and users of his world renowned technology ventures have included Google, Harvard Business School, HP, IBM, Intel, McKinsey, Microsoft, and, Wharton School. He started his career in currency-trading and global financial systems institutional implementations with Bank of America, Banque Indo-Suez (Hong Kong), Unisys Global Financial Services, and Tata Group (India). His biography is profiled among the world's greatest achievers and leaders in Marquis Who's Who in America®, Who's Who in the World®, Who's Who in Finance and Industry® and, Who's Who in Science & Engineering®. He is a citizen of the USA and a resident of New York.
