I am currently working on a project about KM in the extended enterprise. Up
to now (at least as far as I am concerned) research in the area of KM
tended to analize KM from an intra-organisational perspective. But what
would happen when a OEM and its supply-chain (SC)including costumers apply KM? The
industrial participants of the project and me believe it would be
beneficial to all participants of the SC. However, as we started
interviewing people along the new product development process of all
partners, we identified considerable barriers, which where mainly
related to human aspects (what a surprise ;-)). Now my question is:
- Are there already some strategies applied by any other companies in
the same situation?
- What barriers have they been confronted with?
- How did they solve the problems?

Now to the other question: When I talk about interorganisational KM I
mean KM between different companies.

Many thanks to both of you for showing interest!

All the best

Michael
