Thank you all for concern about new comers to the forum, I have been reading discussions posted and I am very much enjoying them.
This is the first time I take part in the discussion and I am thinking how KM is valuable and applicable for Facilities organizations. Facilities Management is the discipline arisen for around 10 years and many organizations concern about. It can be either organization or department. FM organizations/ departments are those doing support services for corporation's performance in not only physical office but also the space, environment, communications and the full services that support business effectiveness as well as help people work more efficiently.
It is likely that only Facilities Management consultancy organizations need to apply KM because their employees are intellectual workers. Or they need more than the others FM organizations that deal with non-core businesses.
If so, what and how principles of KM which were applied successful in some corporations can be also applied in FM organizations (recruiting, motivating, teamwork, flexible working time, flexible wages...)
I would be very glad to hear your idea and thought.
Thank you,
Best regards,Anbe
