Hi Jan
I don't think that there's a single simple solution to getting individuals in an organisation to share knowledge. It depends on the type of knowledge (tacit, explicit), the complexity and context, logistical language and cultural difficulties, and so on. How can you publish tacit knowledge (how to ride a bike)?
You can put all sorts of infrastructure in place in terms of groupware, intranets, communities of practice, seminars, reviews......but people have to get involved, have to get motivated.
However, in some organisations, this kind of knowledge sharing might work with some types of knowledge. Xerox did something similar with their Eureka project, I think.
