Hi,

I understand your point.

The whole process of implementing knowledge
management for both capturing the knowledge up to datein the organisation for your knowledge strategy and a way forward as to foster innovation
is not easy if we know what we are dealing with.

This becomes only difficult if you are one
remote guy trying to become JACK WELCH of GE.

The management should first embark the concept of
a learning organisation. The concept of knowledge management works in US and scandinavian countries
because they truly believe in recognising knowledge assets.

Once this is done well you have to be convinced that knowledge is a vital driver for sustained competitive advantage.

The knowledge management may work today in capturing the best practices if you implement it as a process in the organisation. For examle we
say rewards and compensations would be given to the best learnings submitted after one's project or a stipulated time.

The best learnings would be which reduced time ,decreased costs, helped catch a customer and hence bag revenues etc.

But the most important thing is knowledge management should breed innovation and make a learning organisation.

What do we mean again by innovation.Any idea.

It is the idea which can be implemented or which
is catering to customer and market requirements.

Hope I did add some value.

Thanks
Amar
