Dear John,

I have just begun a doctoral program and the focus of my research is tacit knowledge capture and dissemination methods in a global organisation (using my own as an example).

As other commentators have noted, the concept of tacit knowledge itself needs to be defined. For the purposes of transfer experiments, boundaries need to be drawn on the elements of tacit knowledge that is to be captured. Of course, capture needs to occur before transfer can be attempted. This implies that whatever model that is developed will be specific in nature to the problem being visited.

I am attempting to build a simple model for my organisation to support my research efforts. I am interested in knowing what your specific area of interest for your organisation is and share ideas on the subject.

Regards,
Ambrose Corray
