Hi Ron,
I totally agree. If knowledge management want's to get a real place in managementliterature there needs to be a clearer vision of what KM is and isn't. It seems most firms still focus more on informationmanagement, while they call these projects KM. Second, the link between theory and practice hasn't been made properly so far. I can't tell on the basis of theory what I should do in practice.
Yet most strange to me is the fact that KM has very little attention for strategy.I presume you work for an accountancy firm. As I am graduating on KM at an accountancy firm one question. What should be your first step in an KM-project?
