1. what are the variables generally considered to measure the IC ?
The variables would be metrics employed by the industry/company. The best way to do this is to look at the mgt. consulting industry that has metrics (to bill everything back to client) and take those metrics and link the relationship with IC.
2. IC and bottom line of the organization; is the paradigm shift real?
There are a few firms that measure intangible assets or market value added (MVA), which is nothing but the quantification of the intangible value of the firm, IC, corporate brand strength or goodwill.
