Hi Plesak

The situation as I see it is mainly in large organisations (but not limited too). I find most managers are worrying about fixing problems of today, that’s what they are preoccupied with. There is typical no time given or even an inclination to consider on what the company does best and leveraging on it and/or being opportunity driven. Most feel opportunities are down to those sales and marketing people and not their responsibility. Bulk of the organisation does not get involved unfortunately in developing opportunities. A shift in the mindset is needed, take it as given that all organisations will have problems and that is inherent and that is part and parcel of the everyone’s job. But in addition take responsibility and also focus on developing a learning, innovation and opportunities driven culture.

Opportunities are a many ONLY if you see them and take responsibility to own them.

Did I answer your question, I have no idea but as they in these parts...my 2 cents worth...:-)

Take care and proper my friend
Dilip
