Hi Plesak

I think I might know what you are saying - although it seems quite profound and to tell you the truth sometimes I am not that smart.

The down side is that business opportunities that are really lost are, well, lost.

The up side is that business opportunities are endless/infinite, so long as we can adapt to take advantage.

However, a culture that constantly misses opportunities will reinforce an attitude - in my opinion - of not trying enough or in the right way, or maybe even too much.

When I started working, over twenty years ago, the first thintg they taught me in Univac was that there are are no problems only opportunities - this advice has served me fairly well in most situations, even in those where the problem has to be recognized and converted into an opportunity.

I would tend to agree with you that this is a question of education and mentoring, but given the right opportunity to do so I feel that most people are receptive to the idea of positive and compassionate resolution of problems and the realisation of opportunities that stem from such approaches.

Good questions, I hope I understood well.

Thanks and regards

Martyn R Jones
