Hi Dick,
It is early days, and we do not have a large database against which to compare this engine. I would say your test is a good demo of GIGO (garbage in garbage out) not so sure it was a good test of the search engine though. Suggest if you tried something like putt into the hole you may get more meaning back!. I'm sceptical of this technology too, as finding meaning in text is different for every reader, even a trained bot will have trouble here, as our understandings and reference frames are not static. I never get exactly the same meaning when reading the same piece of text a second time. This is not a defense, just a plea for a fair trial.
