Hi Dilip
I agree with your view that KM can be made more manageable and more effective if broken down into smaller elements. From our experience of both IM(DW, OLAP, BI etc) and KM we have witnessed a large number of failures due to the wish to solve all problems, for everyone, at the same time. We have found that an iteratative approach has been more successful and has enabled the incremental growth of KM and IM solutions that have been tied closely to business goals, user needs and tangible benefits.
