Hello
The web in some ways is a "reflection of reality" and business will thrive, survive, amble along as mergers of mediocre players or simply cease to exist.
Something that we might frequently forget is that most business is NOT conducted over the internet and the prospect of the bubble blowing is not really as scary for international economics as things like serious hikes in oil prices or an earthquake in the far east.
As for trying to sell peace on the web, why not. Peace is not soemthing that you can easily sell in the "real" world so selling it through a "virtual" world might, at least, be just as difficult -- although I really am curious to know just what you mean by "selling peace"... although I am familiar with great book titles like "make money whilst you sleep" and "compepting with Wall Street with $10 a day" or "Personalization: The key to intenet success".
