Hi everyone
Who said Nero was fiddling while Rome burned? I sometimes get the impression that the knowledge community on this forum fiddles while organizations are burning.
How many actual requests for knowledge and information are answered by the greater community of this forum? Sure, there are guys like Denham and Martyn that are more than willing to share, and others who genuinely cannot help, yet at some point in time one realizes how many readers there are who are quick to ask and slow to reciprocate when asked.
We should start PRACTICING knowledge sharing, and make this forum a successful example of a KM implementation. There are some who are restricted in what they can share, but dialog and communication are also KM fundamentals. As with any forum, I am sure there are also members who would claim that we are exactly a knowledge-sharing community, and maybe we are.
Either way, I cannot help but think that KM is somehow capable of so much more than what we are presented with on this forum.
Best regards
Robert
