The trends I see are:

1) Learning while at work and on the job in the form of intelligent interfaces, communities of practice, capturing learning during and after completion of projects e.g. US Army's AAR, MIT's learning history, Bp's Peer Assist

2) Formation of corporate universities and JIT web-delivery e.g. Cisco, Motorola

3) Movement away from scheduled instruction to JIT, distance and continuous learning, from sage on the stage to coach at the side

4) Displacement of training by informal knowledge transfer activities and interventions.

5) Transfer of learning function from specialist trainers to group work with your cohorts.

KM is ALL about learning, a little about content management and everything about engagement, practice, community and awareness.
