Hi Martyn,

Part of the issue is knowledge is almost everywhere. Embedded in process and practice, enshired in ethics, embodied in cohorts, enabled in conversation, empowered by communication, trapped in content, freed in dialog....

Difficult to draw the line, knowledge plas a part in learning, strategy, operations, safety, BPR, production, marketing, HR......

It is influential in all industries from consulting to steel making, from nursing to genetic engineering, from bridge building to nanotechnology.....

Knowledge is acciciated with sharing an idea, generating a prototype, gathering business intellgence, supporting learning, making decisions, solving problems, building relationships, co-ordinating events, scheduling logistics......

Seems we could have a sharper focus within KM around working with knowledge or our knolwedge practices, but this would miss some of the peripheral issues. Part of the allure of KM is its ubiquity, it's generality, it's very diffuseness.

Don't you think?
