Vaughn -- What you spell out makes great sense to me. I was trying to stir things up a bit with my posting. And, looks like you've got an answer - a process that works. I am most intrigued, and would love to get a peek at your book. For better or worse, the business of figuring out "what you need to know to function" has always intrigued me, as an individual and as a businessman. In many ways this task is central to the design and development of really useful computer systems for decision support -- but you don't need me to tell you that.
New school, old school -- if it fits and works, then go with it. Anyway, sounds really good; tell us more.
Regards,
Reilly
