Interesting points and great discussion on machine-based learning. Key distinctions may be made between machine-based learning and human learning. A review of various learning theories would indicate that humans learn in very different ways than machines do: that’s why the notion of ‘tacit knowledge’, intuition and insights are very critical for understanding what ‘machines cannot do’ and ‘humans can.’ There are other related and important concepts such as organizational learning and unlearning -- that have been extensively discussed in literatures in business, management, communications, psychology and philosophy.
The above distinctions serve as base for many of the contributions to advancement of knowledge and practice related to the area of knowledge management being made at @Brint.com: The BizTech Network.
