i am a consultant with India's leading IT firms.. We have a documented socialization undocumented procedure..
We do not use any db for that matter..Most of our project related querries are posted on the mail and if anybody has related info. it is shared to the user.. these things do not have the question of the perspectives being different because it only proceeds if the two are in sync.. Most important aspect of it is that it is documented and can be searched by subject, person or date...
regards
