Thank you for your perspective. Traditionally, IT is defined as such. I was hoping that somehow a "new" technology, such as KM, would help us into a further abstraction of the known. Seems all it offers in the end is revisiting and regurgitating what others before us have uttered or documented.

So, let's for the sake of intellectual stimulation examine the possibility of the human mind being information technology, and consider possible implications if it was the case. Do you think it would change the way organizations are functionally structured? Could the HR director suddenly become the CIO?

If the global business focus moves from computers to information, as it seems to be, then the new millennium should be fun to behold. If not? well, we always have our computers to keep us busy, and it continues to pay well.
