Thanks for the input Randy. We are doing our best to find out the goals of upper management and align our KM strategies accordingly. We have in a sense got buy-in already because we asked for resources to go ahead with a specific KM project and it was granted by the VP of Support. However, we are now in danger of having our KM initiative pigeonholed as a Support-endeavour. How can we enlist the aid of management company-wide? Our company is global, which makes it even more difficult. This is why we were thinking of implementing Knowledge job titles - it sounds like a small thing but I think that if people saw this they might think that mgmt is actually buying into this knowledge sharing idea....So far our attempt at establishing a "knowledge-sharing culture" has been to focus on this specific KM project, which is implementing CBR (Case-Based Reasoning) for our support desk. Another danger which we have already run into is that employees equate CBR with KM. They don't know the difference. How can we educate them?

Do I sound confused to you? :)
