Hi Steve,
KM is applicable in any organisation, as I am sure you know. In my case, I am very keen to understand the building blocks required to develop a KM strategy using Learning as the basic foundation for the strategy (see my previous post).
Education and KM fit very well; in fact the organisation I work for has developed a Learning Grid. Its framework linking schools and other establishments, such as libraries, universities. The framework is a combination of soft issues and technology. If you want some details then I can advice a person you can speak to. But I do strongly believe education and KM fit well together. In its simple state the ability to access and share vast amounts of knowledge that’s is available in academia. After all the WEB was in essence dreamed up by academia, in order to share knowledge to a wider community.
