Hi,

Their site more or less reflects the stuff that the Redmond people were talking about 10-12 months back.

I think their involvement in the initial KM initiatives will be in the area of basic enablement (of things like info. sharing, collaborative software etc) through implementations of easy to use technology.

Not particularly new ideas or technologies, but nonetheless basic and easier to use building blocks.

My guess would also be that they will drive the incorporation of basic core technologies for KM type work into their Back office/Office line of products.

I am personally very impressed by the things that Microsoft discuss "off the record" with regards to KM enabling technology, they seem to have a grasp of the overall picture and have also seem to identified niches where their values and skills can be used to drive future revenue growth from building on current strategically placed niche products.

Apologies for the MS ra! ra! ra! but there are some things they do quite well - despite the sometimes possibly valid criticisms.
