Gentlemen --

Why big? Ego, my ... is bigger than your .... Not always, but a great deal of the time. And the idea is that above all keep the shareholders happy - so that your stock options are safe. So if you make a great product, so much the better, but below average is quite alright.

The sense I get is that the best action is with clearly focussed KM projects, which I submit might just as well be called sophisticated information management projects-- from a marketing perspective, the latter name is far preferable than KM, at least in the US.

Many small consulting firms do superb work. The trick is to maintain quality and intensity as business grows. Can be done, but it's not easy.

KM to get the job done is a good idea. Much beyond that, at some global level, brings me back to my original harrangue.
