hello martyn & john,
well, actually i´m not a prof. in DW, but as i understood
the intention of it, DW should not simply be used as a
database but as a tool to bring data together and to analyse
these data. so perhaps a dw could be called a "working database".
as i have no practical experience with a dw-system (unfortunately)
i am not capable to judge about that statement.
