You're right Kees - let's put a stop to this right now.

Besides, I think Reilly's put forward a good enough case for the importance of formatting to information/knowledge absorption that the argument doesn't need to be re-itterated any more clearly with further examples.

As to the information / explicit knowledge debate, I'll simply refer you to my initial statement, and one I still hold on to until somebody comes up with a better counterarguement that explicit knowledge can be interpreted as absorption-ready information.

Knowledge has never been transferred in writing? Format not important? I would disagree - how did you learn to read and write? By reading books, by watching the letters being formed on the blackboard, by listening to your mum read out your teacher's comments on your report card, amongst others. Yet, would you say you don't have knowledge of writing?

Just how do you absorb knowledge then - after 11 years in academic study, I'd be interested to hear how you think knowledge is transferred from one person to others - Especially without changing the format of that communication.....
