Richard,

you now I embrace your views on the subject as a soulmate, however the "playing the man instead of the ball" is something you might want to expect if you read your own reactions to the original post in retrospect:

"your statements seems stereotype for the average Knowledge Manager"
"No!...No!..No!.."
"Maybe it would help if you thought long enough on the question"

For me it doesn't seem to add up... I believe you hold the view that knowledge is personalized and for it (or as I think we both believe, information) to be transfered in the first place, respect and a willingness to understand the point of the other party is crucial.

Based on the quotes above I can't help getting the kind of feeling Boris seems to incorporate in his answers. Based on these quotes, it seems that you question his common sense, and his right to an opinion.

When he starts playing the man as well, you seem agitated yourself. IMHO (and having watched Boris contributions to this forum, H*LL, he was here even before you and me) you are both quite eloquent in discussing the case at hand 'without playing mortal combat :-) (and perhaps your opinions aren't that far apart as well).

Yeah I know, I tend to stick my nose in other peoples cases all the time...

Regards, have a good weekend,

Kees de Vos.
