Thank you for expressing in very clear terms your views. Actually, I share, at least in part, many of them. I will readily admit that there are some that are iffy--but then, that's what makes discussion so interesting.

let me suggest a couple of things for further thought:

You point ourt, and rightly so, that people have to interact in order for knowledge to be really useful. While I have paraphrased, I think that thought is fairly accurate. is it not possible for an information base of things that people have found useful that can be shared to be created? Once created, and assuming that part of the information base includes a reference to who placed it there, and how to get in touch with that person, would that not be the start of a personal knowledge quest between one person and another that could result in knowledge transfer and use of the knowledge to do something?

if the person used the information, followed the advice and completed the activity--and remembered how to do it again, or at least how to get to the information on how to do it again, would that be knowledge transfer?

if the person added to the information base with their own experience information would that be knowledge transfer?
