Hello,

I once, coincidentally, did some KM/IM Consulting with a IT business in the middle east, not thiat the location and the company and the engagement are really significant, it was just that the business that I provided consulting to were to say the least the very model of a modern ethical business. However, in order to sell, someone on the buyer side had to benefit in a not too acceptably conventional way, so in order to oil the wheels of business and at the same time in order not to compromise the original suppliers "best principles" they used different sales channels and worked through distributors/3rd parties who then were responsible for and concentrated on their local knowledge, expertise and "best practices" in selling systems etc. to local businesses.

Best regards

Martyn R Jones
