I have not yet checked out Autonomy.com but will soon (thank you). I believe that this database I have spoken about, can work...(please ignore fingers crossed behind my back)...but I am having trouble convincing people that little bit of extra work can pay off, i.e. take the time to THINK about how we work as an organisation and how a database of our innovations will benefit us. The environment in which most of the people have worked has been somewhat 'controlled' for some time now, with the concept of 'innovation' and 'knowledge-management' only new to us in the past couple of years, and as a result, a 'forced feeding' has taken place, thus resulting in an unfortunate mind set regarding innov. and KM.(sigh!)
This database is only a pilot and there is energy out there for it, but of course this energy is coming from the pockets within the organisation who more 'open-minded' then some of the others? (sigh! again).
I will go check out autonomy.com

Not meaning to whine, but it is good to talk to someone who has been there.
