Hi,

I tend to be a little bit less cynical than Reilly regarding this distinction :-).

Information services in my opinion is the service (duh) that maintains information technology. An infomation system (as part of information technology) can go down, with the system still in place.

However, this being a wwwboard dedicated to knwoledge management I would suggest you have a look a sites regarding Information Technology Management. A very good place to start is the Information Technology Infrastructure Library at of the CCTA at:
