Tom, your point about the role of knowledge management, in its broadest sense is well made. I think you will find that the NHS will be taking the issue seriously, not least because of the need think in more creative, non linear ways about the uptake and use of the research evidence that is generated. Creating 'Communities of Knowledge' that include a range of voices and perspectives is a place to start. I utterly agree with you that the computer can only be one part of knowledge management.
