Professor Malhotra :
Pardon my ignorence, but to achieve this "fundamental bases", as I understand, thanks to your website, technology is an enabler, an important enabler ? If so, and according to research by Professor Strasman, IT investments, do not co-relate to company performance in recent years, wich underlines the importance of people within companies and their IT adoption sensitivity. If IT is implemented without a high degree of willingness within the company´s community, then performance will not hit expected levels as sought by senior management, thus IT investment will be categorized as failure. Wich brings us to the concept of knowledge management and IT, their interdependency and the importance of the human factor within this relation in terms of a company´s level of knowledge and the trend, within knowledge companies, towards becoming virtual.
Is this the desired future scenario for a company?, what it should strive for? In any industry? Is this what succesfull knowledge companies will be?
What would we be without cyberspace? What wold characterize a succesfull company, in terms of profits, people, the community and the environment?
Once again I apologize for my ignorence but I am new in terms of the BRINT community.
