Will be interesting to see some kind of list like that. I'll be glad to use it for benchmarking since one or two months ago as a result of a reengineering process, I prepared and presented to HR a description for a new position and proposed a job title of "Chief Knowledge Officer" or "Enterprise Knowledge Architect". The respond I received from HR to my suggestion was that they didn't see a need for this type of positions and they have never received a request for a position like this comming from the business.
I was thinking to try again and provide a list with the name of large enterprises , such as EDS that have implemented specific position for Knowledge management.
I also would like to recommend, in case you have similar objectives, to explain to them the differences between Chief Knowledge Officer and Chief Information Officer and perhaps between Knowledge modeling and Data modeling. IT and HR departments find themselves in trouble trying to see these differences and therefore the need for Knowledge management positions.

Just a suggestion based on own experience
Ilieva
