Good to hear from you John.
It seems we have stumbled upon yet another KM challenge: vrtual team communication. I think this is a very difficult area to conquer, due to the constraints of two-dimensional communication.
Does it indicate that yet ANOTHER set of skills are required to be a knowledge worker i.e., excellent written communication?
What interests me more is the area of fundamental communication. The challenge is to make sure that those who need to understand the message exactly, receive it exactly. This is also one of the fundamental requirements for learning, right?
The artist in me says that we're about to go on another iteration of concept definition and discovery, this time in the communication arena.
All novices are "naturally" invited to add what value they can to this "new" discussion.
I'm posting most of this letter as a new thread entitled Virtual Team Communication - Get it?
Looking forward to receiving your file John.
Robert
