Technology is certainly no panacea. The right environment has to exist for any knowledge exchange to take place.
Who wants to share ideas when companies are laying off workers? Who wants to contribute if they are not going to be rewarded?
I agree Intranets are not the only solution. But in the right corporate atmosphere, Intranets can be leveraged to facilitate the sharing of ideas in an unprecendented manner.
However,there are not many companies who are making full use of their technology resources.
