One exciting example I can think of is Buckman Labs
(See www.buckman.com), and I am quoting from something
I picked up recently, "a US chemicals company which has promoted
knowledge sharing throughout the organisation using open
bulletin boards for problem solving. Those who contribute to
solving company problems in public are praised, those who do not
(principally managers) become very conspicuous. Bob Buckman
emphasises the benefits of their being 'no place to hide'.
Everything is done in the open, and that leads people to share
as everyone can see the value of an individuals contribution."
