Hi

You all could really help our project team aimed at identifying core insurance processes? and developing a procedure to share best practise within the UK company and ultimate sharing across the company world wide?.

Our starting point has been to identify perceived best practise within our company and we have asked the directors to identify these.

This is all very good however as a company we are far from sharing knowledge - each division is very competitive happy to share what they do well but not so happy to learn from others..

The questions you could try and answer for me are:-

1. Which companies in your eyes are global leaders of sharing knowledge?

2. How do you get commitment to share/consult internally? (From dicsussions divisions would rather step outside rather than start by consulting internal divisions?}

3. What are some good principles that could be adopted to encourage an organisation to share knowledge/practises/good processes?

4. The company is keen to benchmark practises to prove they are best - what are your views on this wish?

Any advice/information would be greatfully received?

Regards

Lisa
