My perception is the (published) leaders in applying KM all acknowledge they only have pieces of the vision. Some have extensive best practice information, others have smart patent management systems in place, the next has a workbench to speed time to delivery, another has a strong customer relationship effort and someone else is mining transaction data.

What I have not heard is any single company that has all the pieces in place. Seems some concentate on collecting and sifting external market driven intelligence while others look inward and squeeze their scanner data flows or process emisssion data sensors and auto-correct their continuous process.

I'm interested in comanies that are looking at augmenting their internal "communities of practice" helping innovation and stimulating creativity. This I believe is where the long term advantage lies. Does anyone have any examples?
