Hi,

That is an excellent definition. 'art is beauty, if it isn't beautiful, it isn't art.'

Good business is art. It is like when you walk into a great restaurant. You can feel the art in everything. The decor, the service, the quality of the food, the atmosphere, etc. A *good* restaurant can be created by following the numbers and an accurate blue print of another good restaurant. But, a great restaurant has a certain feel that is inseparable from the *artists* who created and manage it.

You can*t become a Rembrandt by following the rules and *learn the art* and apply it artfully*. There is a certain quality and skill inherent in the artist. This can not be duplicated. Of course, you can learn from this artist and make your own art. However your ability to due this will ultimately be limited by your own skill.

You can take a bad manager and teach him to be a better manager. Greatness will always be limited to an exceptional few. This is what real beauty is.

Thanks
John Bardos
