I am student working on my dissertation on KM.
It is often cited, that culture is the main failure factor for KM initiatives.
My special interest is, wether it is possible to induce a new culture through an Intranet. A "virtual" culture, which differs from the "real" one and is beneficial for KM.
What can we learn from the Internet counter-parts, such as geocities. How do they create virtual communities having their own "sharing" culture? Can the findings be transferred into the organisation and used for KM?
Is there any research on this topics or does anyone have comments or recommendations?
Thanks Hans
