Yes, it is my understanding that knowledge sharing is and the subsequent management of knowledge is indeed a simple process, and that these simple processes are the most difficult to introduce and practice. The theoretical aspects of knowledge and knowledge management are almost too indepth as to be communicable. However, using our intuition and pragmatism, knowledge can be effectively harnessed by any organization.
More than anything, knowledge and KM should not become a philisophical issue, bent on theoretical and hierarchey suppositions and propositions, although proper understanding of the theory can certainly lead to right practises. But it is my experience that the theory of knowledge takes a long time to discern, maybe 10 to 15 years, and requires a form of study that is beyond traditional educational norms. Thus it is also my belief that this whole realm of knowledge management will remain unresolved for a long time, until the mud in the water has had a chance to settle, and the truth about the matter can be viewed clearly.
