(1) I'm sure your aware that people inherently are scared to shared knowledge. Scared in the sense that if they only know something then they will retain their job security. Any KMS system, should began, as you so aptly stated in your paper and abstract with the human element. It is my believe that there are different types of people regarding Knowledge: (1) Knowledge Horders-those who retain knowledge in the fear they will lose their job if someone else learns it, (2) Knowlege providers-someone as you rself who provides knowledge on what he knows and benefits all parties concerned, (3) Knowledge creators-these are the astronauts of the KM area who seek how to fit the human element within the context of a system environment (recognizing that every busin ess is fundamentally a human system helps one along the path), (4)
Knowledge sharers-share what they know within the context of the company they work for, (5) Non-Knowledge oriented people-these are people who refuse to think and just do their job.

( 2) I would refer you to Drucker's work on Discontinuties regarding the present state of controlled chaos in which we live.

(3) Future planning should be based on a flexible continous multi-scenario based system versus a rigid one size fits all system.

(4) Original thinkers are few and far between.
