Yes - the debrief in my mind is not supposed to
replace other forms of KM and communication, but
I'm sure you will appreciate that a lot can still
be learned by extracting an overall 'project story'
that both examines the decisions made and processes
used with the benefit of hindsight, and also that
re-confirms previous data given. In fact, previous
knowledge extracted during the project can be brought
up during the debrief to be re-examined for relevance
and meaning.Finally, one of the reasons I was considering the approach
was more as a method by which to encourage the practice
of sharing and learning. If people can already accept the
policy of giving and sharing their knowledge at teh end
of a project, they will probably become more supporting
of the methods used to extract it during the project.Boris
