One way of looking at shared space may be viewed as sharing of 'meaning' which in my belief transcends the notion of language - whether it is language of machines (such as computers, morse codes or cryptographs), sign languages (for physically challenged, specific groups / cultures, gangs, etc.), regional / geographical dialects (such as American English [colloquial and formal], King's English and its adaptations in various geographical dialects), or the age old booming of the drums in the African jungles. Just a thought about the 'spaces' shared between different individuals in different contexts, spaces and times...
