Interesting discussion going on. What I see happening is that knowledge, information and data are 'forms' in relation to each other, and all carry the same energy or provide the same 'function' - namely to act as conduits for energy or communication. Humans communicate with each other (knowledge), machines communicate with each other or with humans(information), and machines communicate with each other (data). So knowledge exist soley between humans, info between humans and machines, and data between machines.
