We perceived knowledge as the justified
understanding arising from our interpretation of
information , where its validity has been proven.
Thus we can use it repeatedly without recourse to
further discussion.

Taken from a paper, "data is symbols that represent,
describe, or record states of the world; information
is the purposeful interpretation of data; and knowledge
is the retained understanding arising from interpretation"

One could argue that knowledge is "internalized" information.
Thus what is knowledge to A is information to B until B
internalized (understood and internalized in its own way)
that piece of information.

This definition, could be confusing as one start to view
database, email, intranet etc as not part of knowledge
management, which I think are important elements of
knowledge management.
