I see your point more clearly now, I think, but I'm not sure how useful distinguishing the discrete elements of knowledge sharing is. Consider, much of the information sharing that takes place in knowledge sharing is neither tacit nor codified. I'm sorry to appear so muddleheaded on this point, but I don't understand why you want to make this distinction between knowledge sharing and information sharing--especially since "information sharing" is a generally recognized term for the dissemination of information, which is clearly not the same thing as the knowledge sharing process that you are referring to as information sharing.Rob
