Hi Bob
I think what you are saying about IT and HR can be interpreted as follows. IT represents the structural capital, and HR the human capital. So you have your IC equation right there: IC = HR + IT. You can build alot of strategic alliances with this basis. For example, you can also interpret this equation as representing the KM infrastructure. The knowledge management process is the interface between your HR process and your IT process. The IT infrastructure is the data and information management systems. The HR infrastructure is the human management systems. Both are conduits for knowledge.
