Here are some references on Andragogy: the notion of pedagogy relevant to adult learning as elaborated by Malcolm Knowles. I have been doing some work in this area.

You may also like to look up the works of Edward De Bono - there is perhaps a link to some web sites containing his work: you may do a search on @BRINT (www.brint.com) site to locate that link.

Knowles, M.S. The Modern Practice of Adult Education:Andragogy Versus Pedagogy, Association Press, New York, 1970, pp. 37-38.

Knowles, M.S. The Modern Practice of Adult Education: From Pedagogy to Andragogy, (2nd ed.), Cambridge Books, New York, 1980.

Knowles, M.S. Andragogy in Action, Jossey-Bass, San Francisco, CA, 1984.

Knowles, M.S. "Adult Learning," in Training and Development Handbook, (3rd ed.), McGraw-Hill, New York, 1987.
